Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about creating, ordering, owning, and selling with Custyle.

A. Getting Started

Custyle is the AI Merch Agent for self-expression. You can start with a prompt, an image, a vibe, a reference, or even a half-formed idea, and Custyle helps turn it into merch that feels personal and real.

No. You do not need Photoshop, design software, or merch experience. If you can describe what you want — even roughly — Custyle can help you shape it into something clearer and more merch-ready.

You can start with whatever you have: a phrase, a photo, a mood, a look, a joke, a memory, or a visual reference. The goal is not to give us a perfect brief. The goal is to give us something real to work from.

Yes. One piece is enough. You do not need to place a bulk order to make something personal with Custyle.

B. Designs & Creative Process

Any of the above. You can start with text, an uploaded image, a reference look, or just a rough vibe. Custyle is built to help turn unfinished thoughts into direction, design, and a product that feels right.

That is exactly what we are trying to avoid. Custyle is not built to give you one-size-fits-all outputs. It is built to help you refine taste, direction, and product fit so the result feels more like you — not more average.

Unlike generic AI image generators, Custyle designs with real merch in mind: print-safe color profiles, placement that works on actual garments, and artwork shaped for the product, not just for a screen.

Yes. Creation on Custyle is iterative. You can keep adjusting the direction, style, composition, and feel until it gets closer to what you actually want. There is no penalty for refining.

Yes. Preview is part of the process. You can see how your design looks on the actual product with realistic mockups before committing to an order. The goal is to reduce guessing and help you decide with more confidence.

C. Products, Pricing & Shipping

Custyle supports a growing range of merch categories:

  • Apparel — T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, tank tops
  • Accessories — tote bags, hats, socks, phone cases
  • Drinkware — mugs, tumblers, water bottles
  • Home & Living — pillows, blankets, candles, wall art
  • Tech & Desk — mouse pads, stickers, magnets, keychains
  • Games & Gifts — playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, greeting cards

The catalog may expand over time.

You only pay when you place an order. There is no subscription required to start creating.

Product pricing depends on the item. As a general range: T-shirts start around $20, mugs around $12–15, hoodies around $40–50, phone cases around $18–22. Final pricing includes the base product, customization, and shipping to your location.

Custyle also offers optional subscription plans with credits, product discounts, and perks. But creating and exploring is free.

No subscriptions are required to create or order. The free tier lets you explore, design, and preview before committing.

Optional paid plans (Personal Pro and Business) offer monthly credits, product discounts of 10–15%, free standard shipping, and priority support. You can see full plan details on our Pricing page.

Each item is made to order after you place it. General timelines:

  • Production: 2–5 business days
  • US shipping: 5–8 business days after production
  • Europe: 7–14 business days
  • Rest of world: 10–20 business days

You will receive a tracking number once your order ships. Timelines may vary during peak seasons or for certain product categories.

D. Ownership, Rights & Selling

Short answer: if you created the design direction and provided the creative input, the work is generally yours to use.

Longer answer: Copyright law currently requires meaningful human authorship. When you use Custyle, you provide creative direction — choosing the concept, refining the style, selecting the output, and deciding how it appears on a product. That human involvement is a key factor in establishing your rights over the final work.

That said, the legal landscape around AI-assisted creation is still evolving. We recommend reviewing our Terms of Service for the specifics of how rights are handled on Custyle. If you upload original content you created yourself — like a photo, drawing, or logo — you retain full ownership of that material regardless of how AI is involved.

In most cases, yes. Designs you create on Custyle are intended to be yours to use — including for personal use, gifts, or commercial purposes like selling merch.

However, commercial use comes with responsibilities: make sure your design does not incorporate copyrighted material, trademarks, or content you do not have the right to use. For large-scale commercial use, we recommend reviewing both our Terms of Service and applicable intellectual property laws in your jurisdiction.

Creator selling features are part of our long-term roadmap. When available, the Creator Program will allow you to publish designs to our marketplace, set pricing, and earn revenue when others order products using your designs.

Eligibility, revenue share, and content standards will be defined in the Creator Program terms. If you are interested, you can join the waitlist or follow our blog for updates.

If you upload content that infringes intellectual property rights, violates platform rules, or includes restricted material, it may be flagged, blocked, or removed from production. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use what you upload.

This includes: copyrighted characters or logos you do not own, trademarks of other brands, photographs of people without their consent, and content that violates our content guidelines. Custyle reserves the right to reject orders that appear to involve unauthorized use of third-party IP.

E. Orders & Support

You can request changes or cancellation within a short window after placing your order — typically before it enters production. Because each item is made to order, production can begin quickly.

Once production has started, the order generally cannot be changed or cancelled. The best approach is to review your design, product selection, and shipping details carefully before confirming.

If you need to make a change, contact support as soon as possible. We will do our best to help if the order has not yet entered production.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or with a production error (wrong design, wrong product, or print quality issue), contact support within 30 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue.

We will review the case and offer a replacement or refund for orders with confirmed production or shipping defects. The goal is to make it right.

Because all products are made to order specifically for you, we generally do not accept returns for change of mind (e.g., you chose the wrong size or decided you prefer a different color).

However, we do offer replacements or refunds for:

  • Production defects (misprints, wrong product, quality issues)
  • Shipping damage (items damaged in transit)
  • Wrong item delivered

If you are unsure about sizing, check the size guide on each product page before ordering. We are working on making preview and sizing tools more accurate to help you get it right the first time.

You can reach our support team through:

  • The Help Center on our website
  • Email at support@custyle.ai
  • The chat widget on site (during available hours)

For order-related issues, having your order number and relevant screenshots ready will help us resolve things faster.

F. Trust, Safety & Privacy

A normal print shop expects you to arrive with a finished design file. Custyle is built for the part before that — the messy part where you only have a vibe, an image, a reference, or a half-clear idea.

Custyle helps you figure out what to make, shapes the design for the right product, lets you preview it realistically, and handles production and delivery. It is a full path from expression to product, not just a print button.

Generic AI tools generate images for screens. Custyle generates designs for real products.

That means every design is shaped with print safety, product placement, garment compatibility, and real-world use in mind. And the process does not stop at an image — it continues through product matching, mockup preview, and actual fulfillment. The gap between "I made something cool" and "I'm holding it" is what Custyle is built to close.

We take your privacy seriously. Uploads, account information, and design data are handled according to our Privacy Policy.

Key points: we do not sell your personal data to third parties. Uploaded images are used to create your designs and are not shared publicly unless you choose to publish them. For full details on data handling, retention, and your rights, please review our Privacy Policy.

Content that violates the following may be rejected or removed:

  • Copyrighted material you do not own or have permission to use
  • Trademarks or brand logos belonging to others
  • Hateful, violent, or discriminatory content
  • Sexually explicit material
  • Content depicting real people without their consent
  • Deceptive or fraudulent material

Custyle reserves the right to refuse production of orders that violate our content guidelines. When in doubt, review our Terms of Service or contact support before ordering.
